Spetses is reached only by fast passenger craft: no car ferry calls here. Hellenic Seaways serves the route from Piraeus (Gate E8 / E9). Passenger-only high-speed craft.

Who sails

• Hellenic Seaways (Attica Group)

  Runs Flying Dolphin hydrofoils and Aero catamarans from Piraeus (Gate E8 / E9) to Spetses; Piraeus call centre +30 210 419 9000. Boats continue to Aegina, Poros, Hydra and Porto Heli. Passenger-only (Hellenic Seaways - Spetses: The Island of Bouboulina).

• Alpha Lines

  High-speed passenger ferry on the Piraeus–Hydra–Poros–Spetses run. Piraeus agencies +30 210 4295020. Passenger-only (Alpha Lines - Piraeus to Hydra, Poros & Spetses (routes, contacts)).

Crossing

The published crossing time is approximately 1 hour 30 minutes, depending on sea conditions. Hydrofoils are smaller and more affected by wind; they are the first to be cancelled on windy days, and Spetses — with no other sea link — loses its boats first in a blow.

Tickets and boarding

Book online or at the Gate E8 ticket booths, then collect the actual ticket at least 15 minutes (30 in high season) before sailing. Be on time: a boat that pulls away from E8 is rebooked at full price. Gates occasionally move, so read the one on your ticket.
